Mohamed Salah Offers Apology to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones has disclosed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the fallout from his recent interview.

The Incident

Salah was left out from a key Champions League match following voicing frustrations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.

ā€œMo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,ā€ the midfielder said. ā€œHe apologised to us and was like: ā€˜If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.ā€™ā€

Arne Slot has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the player.

Looking Ahead

The player stated that the dressing room atmosphere stayed normal. ā€œHe was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,ā€ he continued.

The midfielder also suggested that a player's desire to start is less of an issue. ā€œI get that there are different methods you can handle situations,ā€ he said. ā€œYet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.ā€

On-Field Response

Liverpool's form have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the initial controversy. The player is convinced the outburst were not intended to cause disruption.

ā€œWhen there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a desire to win,ā€ he finished. ā€œIt's behind us and we’re gelling well as a team, getting results and securing victories.ā€
