Star Rejects Anti-Vaccine Position Following Voicing Controversial Pandemic Documentary

The acclaimed actor has provided his voice to a feature-length documentary that challenges the safety of immunizations and lauds one-time health official RFK Jr.

The Feature's Disputed Origins

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a popular book written by a disgraced researcher, who rose to infamy during the pandemic for assertions that the illness was linked to a faulty batch of the influenza shot.

The publication's co-author, a producer, has also written books with controversial radio host Alex Jones. The producer wrote online hailing Neeson's participation in the film.

A Firm Statement

A spokesperson for Liam Neeson have issued a response pushing back against claims that he holds anti-vaccine sentiments.

"We all acknowledge that corruption might be present within the medical sector, but that should never be equated to being against vaccines," the response reads. "Liam never has been, and remains not, anti-vax. His long work with the UN children's agency underscores his consistent support for worldwide vaccination initiatives."

The response noted that the star had no hand in the film's narrative and that concerns about its claims are best addressed to the producers.

Major Assertions Featured in the Documentary

As presented, the narration provided by Neeson includes several controversial points:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have demanded "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "medical science has become highly politicized."
  • RFK Jr is shown saying, "The big problem with vaccines is that they just aren't safely tested."
  • It takes aim at Covid lockdowns, saying they caused severe distress that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it cites a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Past Background and Ongoing Disputes

It further cites a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the subject of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

In recent weeks, RFK Jr directed the CDC to alter its long-held position that there is no causal relationship between vaccines and autism. This assertion is also referenced in the documentary, contrary to a new report from the WHO confirming no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Record of Endorsement

Standing in contrast to the documentary's narrative, Neeson has previously voiced clear advocacy for vaccines in his capacity as a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

Two years ago, he called vaccines as "an incredible triumph," noting that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

The film finishes with Neeson's script stating, "This marks not the conclusion of our narrative. It is the start of a new chapter."
